Lebanese designer Vick Vanlian’s downtown Beirut pad lives up to its majestic neighbours, the sea and the Roman ruins.
The Beirut based architect and designer’s love for good design runs in his genes; a young Vick would often be found at his father’s furniture factory, spending his summer holiday learning from the ground up. Today he helms Vick Vanlian / V World SAL – one of Beirut’s leading interior design firms known for their daring take on design which is establishing a new design vocabulary in the region. His own home is a treasure trove of memories from his travels the world over. From iconic design pieces to ones that would never be found on the beaten design tracks, his flair for colour and contrast runs through his private Eden.
“I feel in love with the house the minute it walked it. It’s energy, the way the light filtered through… everything was just how I imagined my home to be.”
“I always keep the main layout & key pieces simple. It forms the perfect backdrop for accessories from various cultures, styles and colour palettes!”
“I wanted to put all that I like and all that there is in my dream head in one place – my home.”
